I've found my self using my phone more than ever lately. Its important that I do. I have to study, I have to research, I have to communicate. But something felt different.

Not until i was 13, my parents gave me zero access to phones. Or any device. I knew nothing about trends. Its funny i discovered who Cardi B was when I was 8. My friends who used IOS, Samsung, all the "big phones" phones i thought only working class people with big salaries used. My friends were all happy. I was happier.

I felt more and more connected to the now. I had 8+ hours of uninterrupted sleep, the only influential Man I genuinely loved was Jesus. I think i even found my purpose. The moment I got my first phone (Apple IPhone 4s) everything changed.

(At the time I got this phone, IPhone 14 pro was released).

I took lots of pictures. Its an IPhone. Lights. Camera. Speed. I loved the phone. Too much. I caught up with the trends, listened to dumb podcasts (except Ted), burnt alot on Internet access (sub). The phone was becoming a problem.

My knowledge then was limited. It became more limited, even though I googled a lot. Now here's the thing. It was never your device

Now good news is, it's not your phone. The bad news is Its...

Something that deprived your sleep. Your time schedule. Something that make you procrastinate. Something more powerful than demons.

We need to stop blaming others. When we blame others, we give them responsibility.

A right to change us. Only us have the right to change ourselves.

My phone isn’t taking my time away. I am. I picked up the phone in the first place. The algorithm can't help but keep me glued. To keep my thumb moving. When my life should.

be moving, I allow apps get paid.

My phone doesn't procrastinate.

My phone doesn't deprive me sleep.

My phone doesn't make me sad.

We are in control.

We are responsible.

In older times, the phone was made for communication. Its of no wonder many great intellectual people existed then. Imagine picking up your phone to say "hello how are you" instead of scrolling mindlessly.

Instead of getting every answer to our question. (I love uncertainty btw). Uncertainty makes life interesting.

Let's both set a schedule on our screen time. Lets live life like it's the 90's. Write. Draw. Sing. Do that thing. Create. Drop your phone for a bit. Take charge. ACCELERATE!

I'm sure you have a best friend. He became your friend years ago. Long ago. He lives in you, he speaks to you. He is your counsel. He pushes you to do. Now, one diotic coach person approaches you to kick him out. Don't!

Sexual sin is not bad, I'm being for real.

You're probably about to finish this article with ragebait at the comments, and slapping me by un-subscribing. The reasons I'm about to list will make you continue with that friend.

1. You've started for a while, He's amazing!

He came a while back. You befriended him. Anytime he needs you, you attend to him. He calls you answer. Of course you enjoy him. Its the best short term fun you've ever had. Since you met him, it's been short term fun. Rema hasn't had that kind of fun. Ajey! Don't leave oh.

2. He keeps all that "Jesus stuff" away.

Its been so long, you no longer have the urge to pray. He told you not to. Being christ like is hardwork.

"How many times will you say sorry sef?"

"Jesus is tired, you and I are not"

"You'll stop joor, just stop telling Jesus sorry"

"Just this last time. Jesus will forgive"

Familiar?

You begin listening, you take Jesus out of the picture. After all, He isn’t coming tomorrow. Keep s3xual sin-ing and in the picture.

Don't stop. Forget about the man that died for your sin. Without asking you for permission.

3. He is the MOST ENGAGING PERSON

You don't even need to focus on your life. You have a best friend. Focus on him.

Nobody goes to church again, sermons are lame. They all keep preaching change. You and your best friend are okay together.

You're in love with the way he controls you. The way he makes you feel A MOMENT of fun, and ecstasy. You don't even need to look at the mirror to know you're good looking.

He has formed you and your appearance. Better than God does. People call you chopped, only your best friend tells you you're beautiful. People say you're not smart. Besti è ma sokpe you smart kpa.

People think your loosing yourself, How? You've got your best friend.

But...

If this becomes your mindset, you'll slowly become a hater.

You'll avoid people, keep score, and eventually forget one of Jesus' greatest commandments: love your neighbour as yourself.

So let's shift our perspective.

Someone may stand beside you today and leave tomorrow.

"Who go believe you when the whole world is calling you a liar..."

Someone may believe you for a season, then later join the crowd.

People are human.

We all have free will. We disappoint each other. We change. We're all playing our parts on the stage of life, and you're not the one writing everyone's script.

So if everyone leaves...

If no one believes you...

Will you hate the world?

The answer shouldn't be yes.

The foundation of your life shouldn't be people's love—it should be God's love.

God is the One who remains.

He doesn't walk away when life gets difficult.

Think of Him as your closest Friend, your King, and your Father.

But here's the other side.

If you say, "I'll only love God," you're still missing what Jesus taught.

He commanded us to love God and love one another.

Loving people doesn't mean becoming a doormat.

It doesn't mean staying in abusive or toxic relationships.

Love can include healthy boundaries.

You can forgive without allowing repeated harm.

Resentment may come.

Betrayal may happen.

People may fail to communicate.

Those feelings don't have to become hatred.

Hatred grows when we allow pride and bitterness to take root.

So love those who don't love you.

Do what benefits both you and others.

Pray continually.

Keep your heart soft.

And keep Ganiru-ing.

I'm praying silently in my mind, talking to Jesus, when I receive a tap on my shoulder.

My eyes are shut. Its probably one of the people around me, yelling, shouting and wailing in tongues. They might have touched me while in the spirit.

Then another tap in my shoulder.

I'm curious. My eyes are too. Its my Dad. I expect him to hit my shoulders that hard.

“Can't you pray? Pray out!”

Prayer Is the act of lifting our hearts and minds to God.

I've been recieving those comments everytime I'm in a prayer session with my Dad.

I'm confused really. The definition described to me in my cathecism days contradicts my dad's perception of prayer.

Growing up, I've hated myself for not speaking in tongues. Or not even praying like my Dad, and all his ministry members do.

Personally, I talk to God. In silence. Within me. I don't fantasise talking to God outloud. Unless I’m alone.

(I wonder what term this is called)

I still pray, though. I ask God to give me the grace to lift my heart to Him, other than performing in a prayer session.

Dear Diary,

I’m itching my nose, sneezing, staring at my puffed face in the mirror as I write this. The visitor that steals the little sanity I have—the visitor I welcome when a certain substance has arrived—yes, allergies.

I remember the times when my nostrils worked perfectly, when I didn’t need meds to ease the struggle. And yet, my thoughts drift elsewhere: to the asthma patient whose inhaler is a best friend, to the hospital patient who buys the oxygen they breathe… to those going through other breath-taking struggles.

As this crosses my mind, I pray for them—and suddenly, I forget my own reaction to the irritant. I really do hope they survive, and that God hears them when they cry.

My dear diary, my allergies are annoying and messy, but I’m grateful I’ll survive.

It is so absurd that we sacrifice and trade our self-respect, moral and religious standards for looking cool. We compensate for our poor behaviors with excuses of maintaining steeze — bullshit! (Pardon my language...) We’ve lost sight of purity and righteousness; now we’re practicing unhealthy competition, pride, lust, and mostly everything against righteousness. We compensate for them with “self-expression and living the life”.

Life without Jesus is a dark, empty life.

The devil basically leads us into unhealthy indulgence and whispers to our confused ears, “This is the enjoyment.” He sees the talents we carry, makes us derail from their good use — they die, and he leaves us empty. He steals our purpose. Satan gives us bad people — agents — and paints them in our perspectives as “Ogees”. These people encourage our foolishness and sin, and in our downfall, they leave us alone when we’re empty — just like the Devil.

Let us come to mind our sins, abstain from them, and choose JESUS! Let us discover our purpose and the people God designed us to be. Grace be with you.
